Australia Zoo has stacks of wildlife action every day and move at a great rate of knots to bring you the most action-packed LIVE shows and exciting encounters with our amazing animals.

Australia Zoo is located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast near the Glasshouse Mountains. Just 45 minutes north of Brisbane on the Glasshouse Mountains Tourist Drive, it is the home of some of Australia's most unique and amazing wildlife, as well as some remarkable animals from overseas.

Admission Prices

Rates effective April 1, 2006 through October 31, 2006. For groups of 10 or more we offer a 10% discount off gate admission. Please call us in advance to book your group admission! (Note that group discounts do not apply to the family admission rate.) You can also bring a picnic lunch and enjoy your meal on our immaculately groomed grounds.

Animal Timetable

Get up close and personal with the amazing animals at the daily shows. See the cheeky otters, meet Harriet our Galapagos Land Tortoise and get in on all of the animal action in the Animal Planet Crocoseum. You can also feed the elephants, watch the gorgeous tigers play and so much more!

10:00am Kids Story Time
Hear the wild adventures of Bindi Irwin! Be at our Story Time session to see some amazing pictures of her life so far, hear tales about the places she has been and the animal encounters she has had!

10:00am Morning Otters LIVE
See the cheekiest girls at the Zoo come out and play! Our small clawed otters love their food and the keepers that bring it to them. Make sure you check out this show for their very cute antics - everyday is different!

10:00am Harriet LIVE
Come and learn about one of our most treasured animals at the Zoo - Harriet, our Galapagos Land Tortoise. This gorgeous girl hatched in 1830! What a beauty! Watch her munch through her breakfast using her serrated jaw and hear about her amazing travels before she called Australia Zoo home. 10:30am Morning ElephantsLIVE
You can feed these gorgeous girls. Located next to Cootha the large wooden crocodile.

11:00am Snakes LIVE
Check out our big, beautiful snakes when they take centre stage in the Animal Planet Crocoseum! You'll be amazed by these awesome creatures and the keepers who handle them. We'll even show you basic first aid to treat snake bite! Wooo-hoo!

11:15am Tigers LIVE
Our drop-dead gorgeous tigers just love coming out to play! They are so cute and timid while being bottle-fed but watch the action when the toys come out they mix it with our Big Cat handlers.

11:35am Birds LIVE
Watch as kookaburras, Wedge-tail Eagles, owls, falcons and our beautiful South American Macaws free-fly around the Animal Planet Crocoseum. Learn more about these magnificent birds as they swoop and soar right over your head!

12:00pm Crocs LIVE
Crocs rule at Australia Zoo! We bring them out into the clear waters of the Animal Planet Crocoseum so you can see them as they would hunt in the wild...doing their best to get the "big piece of meat" (the Croc team that is!).

12:30pm Feral Fox & Camels LIVE
Come and learn about some of the introduced animals in Australia. It is to varying degrees that these animals interfere with our natural habitat. We'll tell you how we are trying to manage these introduced species throughout Australia and even dispel the myths about camel spit - ewwww!

1:00pm Midday Otters LIVE
See the cheekiest girls at the Zoo come out and play! Our small clawed otters love their food and the keepers that bring it to them. Make sure you check out this show for their very cute antics - everyday is different!

1:30pm Crocs LIVE!
Watch as these apex predators hunt in the deep water of the Crocodile Environmental Park. This show displays crocodiles in their natural habitat, sizing up and catching their food. Alternatively this show may take place in the "triple ponds" - three crocs and three different displays of behavior. What a ripper!

2:30pm Koalas LIVE
Come and see our best known Aussie icon. Learn about the amazing habits of this unique Australian that make them so relaxed that they sleep for over 20 hours a day! Crikey! That is a lot of sweet dreams!

2:45pm Afternoon Elephants LIVE
You can feed these gorgeous girls. Located at the elephants enclosure at Tiger Temple.

3:00pm Birds of Prey LIVE
Check out these beauties! Watch these majestic birds interact with their keepers. Australian birds of prey have amazing ways of finding, capturing and eating their prey - come and learn all about it!

3:30pm Afternoon Otters LIVE
