My Day in Artique Resort Gold Coast

I was quite excited about going in to the Artique Resort today. After doing some research on the Resort and seeing the brilliant images on their website I was expecting big things and it definitely delivered.

From the street the building just oozes class, with its modern white, glass and stainless steel look it stood out compared to some of the it’s more well-known neighbouring buildings. Stepping into the foyer just adds to the glamour with large full length mirrors scattered all through the foyer and hall ways.

Jumping into the lift I headed up to check out a two bedroom ocean view apartment. Once inside I was greeted with that same luxurious theme the entire Artique building offers. There’s tasteful artwork and decorative pieces scattered around the room, the furniture is good quality and the views from the large balconies are worth getting photos of to show off to your friends. The kitchen is decked out with all the bells and whistles. There’s a hidden dishwasher, stainless steel appliances and all the utensils required to cook up a great meal if you feel the need. The master bedroom features a comfy king size bed, walk in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom. The overall cleanliness of the entire room is top notch and I couldn’t find a single fault, even the glasses were stacked in a nice pattern in the cupboard.

The facilities of the Artique are equally as good in quality as the rooms. The swimming pool is a decent size and heated year round, something not many resorts offer. There’s a large hot tub just behind the pool as well as a male and female sauna. For those who want to get a bit of exercise while they’re on holiday the gym has all the latest equipment and plenty of space to do your own thing.

Two unique features that stood out for me were the Artique’s theatre and golf simulator. The theatre is huge, with 12 plush leather recliner seats and full surround sound. You can take your DVD down, put it in the player and it’s like your own private Cinema. The Golf Simulator is a lot of fun and while there’s a few requirements to be able to have a go this will keep the avid holidaying golfers entertained for hours.

The Artique Resort is perfect for those who want to be in Surfers Paradise without the hustle, bustle and noise of being right in Cavill Ave. I’d definitely recommend the Artique for families with older children (kids 10+) as they’ll appreciate the quality more, but for the young one’s the pool area will keep them entertained for hours.  If you want class and sophistication without paying a 5 star price the Artique Resort is definitely worth looking into!

Another great feature of the Artique is its great location on the Gold Coast. Just 20 metres from public transport, a one minute walk to the beach and 7 minute walk to Cavill Avenue, it’s perfect for those after a quieter spot while still being close to the action. There’s a number of restaurants and shops only 50 metres up the road. Secure underground parking is available and while only one park is allocated per room there is additional parking available on request.  The team at reception are really helpful and can organise theme park tickets and attraction bookings as well as any transport requirements you may have.
