Redcliffe Accommodation

Redcliffe is a sleepy coastal town adorned with 22 kilometres of beaches, 35 kilometres of scenic bikeways, mouth-watering fresh seafood restaurants, eclectic markets, a plethora of festivals, many amazing accommodation options, and some of the friendliest locals around.

Visitors trek from near and far for the delicacies found in Redcliffe’s fresh seafood restaurants including Morgan’s, the Golden Ox, and Seafood Lovers Café. There are also a host of beachfront cafés, or if you prefer a casual dining experience the entire coastline is peppered with foreshore parks with plenty of playgrounds and barbeque areas that are great for family afternoon lunches or taking a break from the sand and water.

There are several lovely beaches strewn across Redcliffe, however, Suttons Beach is the only patrolled swimming area and is perfect for families with young children as it is sheltered from large waves and rips. The gentle waters of Redcliffe also lend themselves to water sports such as kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, boating, and jet skiing.

Redcliffe Jetty is a lovely setting for fish ‘n’ chips or casually throwing a rod in the water. If you are looking for a taste of mystery, intrigue, or adventure then visit the Gayundah Aboratum. Found on Gayundah esplanade, this memorial commemorates the WW1 warship the Gayundah which still sits on the beach below in all of its shipwrecked glory for visitors to explore at their leisure. Being only partially submerged in high tide means the wreck can be enjoyed at any time of the day.

As the site of the first European settlement in Queensland in 1824, Redcliffe proudly celebrates their First Settlement Festival or ‘Redcliffe Remembers’ in September each year. Since this festival was birthed, Redcliffe has become a city of festivals with the Seafood Festival, Kite Festival, and Jetty Fiesta all popular among locals and visitors alike.

There is also a museum, art galleries, weekly ‘Jetty Markets’ held on Sundays in Anzac Place as well as a plethora of spots to just sit, relax, and watch the whales and dolphins. Redcliffe has much to offer visitors wanting to stay for just a weekend or families looking to getaway for longer. Luckily Redcliffe accommodation also provides for all types of stays with a host of options.
