From island getaways to family holidays to adventure trips, Capricorn Coast accommodation can cater to all styles of holidays with its unique and beautiful destinations.

The Capricorn Coast begins at the Town of 1770 and Agnes Waters and follows the coastline north to Tannum Sands before reaching Gladstone. The region stretches further north to Yeppoon before hitting its border at Rockhampton and spreading out to the Great Barrier Reef where Heron Island and Wilson Island are nestled.

This Queensland region boasts flawless beaches, access to the Great Barrier Reef, gorgeous national parks and an excellent array of resorts, island hotels, apartments and more. Holidaying on the Capricorn Coast means swapping tourist filled beaches for your own private slice of sand, island hoping and snorkelling rather than theme parks, and plenty of down time by the pool.

The climate boasts perfect weather nearly year-round with balmy days, moonlit nights and colourful sunsets. Filling the space between the beach and the vast baron Queensland interior is the hinterland filled with volcanic outcrops, bush trails, and a myriad of native flora and fauna. While the islands boast coral reef snorkelling, scuba diving, nature walks, wildlife sightings, submarine adventures, swimming, spa treatments and relaxation a plenty.

The Capricorn coast is a unique stretch of coastline an added bonus of serenity and tranquillity that is quite rare in the popular sunshine state, speak to Discover Queensland about your next getaway today on 1300 788 553.
