Elysian Luxury Eco Island Retreat

Elysian Luxury Eco Island Retreat is the most secluded all-inclusive island retreat in the Whitsundays. This adults only, 100% solar powered retreat is nestled into a 3 hectare private cove on the southern tip of Long Island, surrounded by national park rainforest and the turquoise waters of the Great Barrier Reef.  A place of barefoot luxury and indulgence, with emphasis on giving people the opportunity to disconnect from their busy lives, and reconnect with the natural environment.

There are boundless opportunities to explore the island and surrounds along with many once-in-a-lifetime moments. In addition to all the snorkelling, paddle-boarding and kayaking the heart desires, guests can book one or more of the many extra romantic activities and adventures (fees apply). Enjoy the benefits of the magnesium infinity pool, take a daily yoga class, visit the day spa for a personalised organic spa treatment, get comfy around the outdoor firepit with a cocktail and watch the sun go down, play a game of pool or giant chess or simply snuggle into a beachside hammock and listen to nature. 

10 beautifully appointed air-conditioned oceanfront villas with ocean, mountain and rainforest views are crafted from solid Australian hardwood with high cathedral ceilings and feature large windows, a private balcony with uninterrupted water views, ensuite with shower and organic amenities. 

On arrival, guests will meet with the host to discuss taste preferences and dietary requirements. With a private chef catering to all dietary requirements. the daily changing menu is inspired by the natural surroundings of Long Island and the Whitsundays, using the freshest seasonal produce sometimes sourced from the Island’s own vegetable and herb garden and then from nearby surrounding farming regions.

Elysian is one of the finest oceanfront resorts in the Whitsundays and is perfect for couple escapes, engagements, honeymoons, babymoons, elopements, anniversary celebrations, digital detox escapes. Elysian can be hired exclusively for those not wanting to share the sequestered beauty of this paradise and solo travellers are also welcome.

ACTIVITIES & ADVENTURES
Mobile Phone Reception - there is limited Telstra mobile phone coverage and Wi-Fi is available in the lounge area. Please note, there is no phone service for Vodafone and Optus however calls using Wi-Fi are possible e.g. Whatsapp and Facebook Messenger.
Child Policy - this an Adults Only retreat, however, young adults aged 16 years and above can be accommodated. If guests have exclusive use of the retreat, any age is welcome.

TRANSFER INFORMATION
Helicopter Transfers
Access is via a 10-20 minute private helicopter journey departing from either Hamilton Island or Coral Sea Marina at Airlie Beach. 
Helicopter transfers operate between 8:00am and 4:30pm and are subject to availability. 
Please contact the team at Elysian to book your helicopter transfers at least 14 days prior to arrival. Peak season may have limited availability and require more notice to ensure transfers are available. 
Luggage Restrictions & Weight Information
Passengers are permitted to travel with 1 x medium bag or suitcase (max 20kg | 70cm x 40cm) plus 1 x carry-on bag or suitcase (max 10kg | 52cm x 33cm) per passenger. The type of helicopter used depends entirely on the weight of the passengers and luggage - maximum weight limit including passengers and luggage is 230kg per couple (based on a Robinson R44 aircraft). If the total overall weight exceeds 230kg a larger helicopter may be necessary and a premium charge will apply.
Boat Transfers
Boat transfers can be arranged however they are extremely restricted due to tidal access surrounding the bay at Elysian and may not be possible on your travel dates. However, if you have some flexibility in your travel dates, tidal access can be assessed ahead of time (high tide of 2.7 metres of water). Boat transfers depart from Shute Harbour and Hamilton Island.
