South Bank Beach
Just off Stanley Street Plaza
We are not pulling your leg. Brisbane City has a beach. This man-made wonder begins next to the Riverside Green Playground (which is in proximity to a handy Subway) before hitting the main attraction – the sandy, patrolled lagoon area. The water continues down to a rock pool stream with BBQ areas and grassy knolls peppering its sides.

If you haven’t already locked in your Brisbane CBD accommodation, we have some favourites we’d love to share with you.
Brisbane Marriott always tops our list as the service is second to none, the rooms are spacious which is great with kids, and the location on the water is beautiful. There is also a great pool, perfect for a dip on the warmer days.
Four Points by Sheraton boasts some of the most comfortable beds you can imagine (important after a day of exploring the city with the kids), amazing breakfast, and high speed internet throughout the property.
Lastly Mantra South Bank Brisbane is another favourite on the other side of the river. The dining here is incredible, the pool is perfect, and it’s in the cultural heart of Brisbane.
