What is not on the forefront of everyone's mind, is all the amazing things to do on the Sunnie Coast. There's so many, this is just a list of whats new!
1. Dining at The Wharf
With a fresh new make over, The Wharf is looking spectacular as ever with a great variety of dining on offer. Your next visit to the Sunshine Coast won't be complete without a meal or at least desert, here!
Rice Boi, a popular new favourite to hit the waterfront, offers up Asian fusion including curry, pork belly, duck salad, wagu beef, pork bao and more!
The Dock boasts a great range of beers, smoked meats, charcoal grill and a sophisticated edge on your traditional pub atmosphere.
For a light fresh take on Green cuisine, stopping by Spero is an absolute must.
Lastly See Restaurant is an established favourite in the Wharf offering modern Australian cuisine with a Chilean touch. Plus you can enjoy 25% off the total bill with your MyDQ Card from booking your accommodation with Discover Queensland.

2. Visit Angry Birds at SEA LIFE, Sunshine Coast
This Christmas school holidays SEA LIFE will be home to Angry Birds 2: Bird Island Academy, which will see guest Angry Bird appearences, unique challenges throughout the aquarium, and even get a stamped certificate to show they have completed their challenge!
According to a little birdy, Chuck will be doing meet and greets every weekend during the QLD school holiday from 11am to 2pm. Guests can also enjoy frenemies of the sea including Red and Leonard in Angry Birds Movie 2 in a rockpool challenge and even meet the newest character - Silver, in her science classroom. You can also enjoy 20% off admission price with your MyDQ Card when you organise your holiday via Discover Queensland.
3. Make a Holiday out of it
If you're going to truly enjoy all this beachside oasis has to offer, you'll need to score yourself and your loved ones some Sunhine Coast accommodation and make a holiday out of it!
Oaks Seaforth is one of our favourites as it's opposite the beach, 4.5 star (affordable, yet super nice), and great for both taking the kids with, or heading up for a romantic stay! Rolling Surf Resort is another favourite on absolute beachfront in Caloundra. While The Rise Noosa boasts spacious apartments in the swanky part of town.
4. Eumundi Markets
The original artisian markets have been a family favourite on the Sunshine Coast for decades. You'll find homewards, jewellery, produce, dining, live music, and more.
The newest attractions at the markets include:
1. AUSWOOD - wearable wooden bow ties hand carved from 100% natural and sustainable Aussie wood.
2. Lisboa Cafe - started by Portugese natives in 2015, the team aim to introduce some of their favourite gourmet icons into the local food scene including their anchor product - the custard tart.
3. Lytchett Living - create recyled native wooden oil burners that are 100% unique and, when burned with sandalwood oils, repel mozzies.
If you need more convincing, here are 20 reasons to visit the original Eumundi Markets.
5. Check out a Rooftop Bar
Who doesn't love a drink with a good view? The Rooftop Bar and Garden has been called the biggest opening of 2019, and one look in tells us why. The establishment opens it's doors at midday and welcomes guests a retractable roof, incredible cocktail menu and impressive views.
6. See the Whales
Whale watching season is upon us and there isn't too much as thrilling as watching wild humpback whales breaching and blowing. The majestic creatures are utterly mesmerising to watch by boat, but did you know, the Sunshine Coast is the only place in Queensland you can swim with whales?
7. The Beach
Okay you got us. It's not new. It's just absolutely stunning. If your beach trips need to cater to little ones here's our list of the best Sunshine Coast beaches for small children.
